The most generous thing you can do for your family.

Pre‑need planning is not a morbid exercise. It is a generous one. When you arrange your own service in advance, you lift from your family the weight of every decision at the moment they are least equipped to make them.

You choose the service. You choose the music, the readings, the chapel, the casket or urn. You record what matters most. And then — because Patton Brothers locks in today's costs through a licensed pre‑need insurance plan — you remove the financial uncertainty entirely.

Your family receives exactly the farewell you intended, without debate, without last‑minute costs, without guesswork.

Plate · 06·b · The Process

Four steps. One conversation.

Completed at your pace, at either house
Step 01.

A quiet conversation.

Sit with one of our directors — at South Street, at Murfreesboro Pike, or on the phone. No pressure. No decisions required at the first meeting. Just a conversation.

Step 02.

Record your wishes.

Chapel or graveside? Traditional or cremation? Music, flowers, readings, pallbearers, favourite hymns. We record every detail so your family carries nothing into question.

Step 03.

Lock in today's costs.

Through a licensed pre‑need insurance plan, we fix today's prices into the future. Whatever services cost when the time comes — you will not pay more than what you agreed.

Step 04.

On file at both houses.

Your plan is held securely at Patton Brothers — accessible to either facility, any hour. When the time comes, your family calls us, and we do the rest.

Pre‑need FAQs
Q. 01
What if I change my mind?
Your plan can be updated at any time. Services and wishes can be revised as long as the plan has not been called upon. We recommend reviewing your plan every few years, just as you would a will.
Q. 02
Is the money protected?
Yes. Pre‑need funds are held in a licensed insurance policy regulated by the State of Tennessee — not in a funeral home account. Your investment is protected regardless of what happens to the business.
Q. 03
Can I transfer to another funeral home?
In most cases, yes — a pre‑need insurance plan is portable. Ask your director for details on transferability, which varies by policy type and state law.
Q. 04
Do I have to pay everything up front?
No. Pre‑need plans can be structured as a single payment or in flexible monthly instalments. Our licensed pre‑need agent Pastor Derrick L. Jackson will walk through every option with you.
Q. 05
What does my family need to do when the time comes?
They call us at (615) 256‑3608. That is all. We have the plan on file, and we carry out every detail as recorded — without your family needing to make a single arrangement decision.

Begin with a conversation — no obligation.

Pastor Derrick L. Jackson or Tonya Scales‑Haynes will meet with you at either house, at your pace.
